“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16, NKJ)

When God sent His Son to earth, He opened the door of salvation to whoever would believe. That means anyone can become a child of His and have everlasting life! Isn’t it good that He didn’t just come to save certain kinds of people? Aren’t you glad He doesn’t have a bunch of rules and conditions for salvation?

Before Jesus came, people had to observe many laws in order to be holy enough to go into God’s temple. They were constantly performing sacrifices to pay for their sins just so they could be around the presence of God. Even then, their sins were only covered up. They were still there. But when Jesus came, He was the final sacrifice. His blood doesn’t just cover our sins; it washes them away! Now, instead of going to the temple to be near God, the Bible says we are the temple, and He chooses to live inside of us!

Today, thank God for His mercy and for extending the gift of salvation to whoever believes in Him. If you’ve never asked Jesus to be the Lord of your life, there’s no better way to start the New Year! Choose Him and choose life and start the year off right!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus into this earth so that I can be free. Thank You for opening the door to eternal life. I accept the sacrifice Jesus paid so that I can be free. Come into my heart. I confess that You are my Lord and Savior in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Let’s all encourage one another today keeping negative and unwholesome words from our mouths. We all need encouragement, so let’s make it a goal to let at least 3 people know how awesome they are!! 

Father God, we just rejoice in you today. Fill us with your presence to overflow and let us encourage one another and build each other up. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen!!!

Hey Guys, let’s all rejoice in the beautiful  day The Lord has made for us!

The verses for today are,
Ephesians 3:16-19

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 

This passage is a prayer; Paul is praying this over the church in Ephesus. We too can claim the blessing that is written here as it is the word of God. God tells us in Isaiah 56:11, that His word goes forth from His mouth, never returning empty and always achieving the purpose He sent it. So today, let’s all read this prayer over ourselves and let the blessing of God fall upon us today as He strengthens us with power in our inner being. 

Father God, we Thankyou for your mighty word. We rejoice in this day and pray for an overflow of your spirit upon us. Lord we thank you for each and every blessing that falls upon is, and that today we would read this prayer and be strengthened through that power of your word. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen!!!

Hey Guys, let’s enjoy this beautiful day! 

The verse for today is,
Ephesians 1:18

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people

Our heart holds our desires. What Paul is urging us to do is to open our hearts, by going to God and being real with Him. Sharing all of our desires and letting Him guide us. When we seek God, when we come to God and give Him our desires He works on them, and us toward the calling He has set before us. So today, let’s all meet with God, spend some time with Him to check the desires of our heart and see if they link up with what He has for us and our lives.

Father God, we give you all honor and all glory today. Fill us to overflow with your spirit, so that we would go out and shine your light to all around us. Lord, show us the current state, current desires of our heart, guide us toward your calling for our lives. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen!!!

Hey Guys, Tomorrow we begin reading Ephesians! So let’s all grab a friend and get excited to read through a chapter per day.

Isaiah 55:9

“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

God’s ways are unimaginable. We cannot even begin to fathom the workings of our mighty God. So today, let’s all spend some time with God, let’s get His perspective on our lives and be refreshed in His presence. 

Father God, we rejoice in you today. Thank you for this beautiful day and for your love. We pray that you would fill us with your presence as we seek you throughout the day. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen!!

Hey Guys! Let’s all take some time out of today to worship God, to be in His presence. 

The verse for today is,
Psalm 126:5

Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. 

We all go through tough times in our lives, struggles that feel as though they’ll never end, issues that seem to define us. Yet we know that in all things we are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us. We can stand firm on His word that tells us that His word never returns to Him void, but goes out to accomplish it’s purpose. God’s ability to restore life is beyond our understanding; He is bigger than we can even imagine. So today, let’s put our faith in Him and stand on His word which tells us, those who sow in tears, those who are struggling, will reap songs of joy, will rejoice. Let’s speak this over our lives and begin to let joy rise up within us.

Father God, we just Thankyou for your word today. Fill us with your love and grace lord. Let those who are struggling feel your presence lord, let them have your peace and your joy lord. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen!!!

Hey Guys, let’s all continue to stand for Christ in all aspects of our lives.

The verses for today are,
Acts 28:30-31

For two whole years Paul stayed there in his own rented house and welcomed all who came to see him. He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hinderance. 

Here we read the end of Paul’s journey, Rome, where he lived and welcomed people who were hungry for God. Let’s make the decision to live as Paul did, boldly proclaiming Christ through our lives. This doesn’t mean stand on a box in the city and yelling scripture, this means simply ‘living a life worthy of the gospel,’ living in such a way that we will finish the race of faith, living in a way that attracts people to Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Let’s preach it through out lives! 

Father God, we rejoice in you! Fill us lord to overflowing with your presence. Let us know you in a greater way. Father give us boldness to stand before all men and proclaim your goodness through our lives. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen!!!

Hey Guys, Today will such an amazing day! Let’s take hold of His word and His promises! 

The verse for today is,
Acts 27:20

When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved. 

Following this Paul stands up and encourages everyone describing his encounter with an angel of The Lord that busted him stating for Paul not to be afraid and that he must stand before Caesar. The angel is basically saying that Paul must carry out the calling on his life. There are so many times in our lives that the sun and stars are gone, we have no way to navigate our storm and we give up hope. Yet God has called us to more than this storm we are facing; He has a purpose and plan for our lives, He will guide us through. So today, there may the roughest storm on the horizon, it may be upon you, or you might be seeing the light of day. No matter what situation, seek God in prayer, seek God in the word and be encouraged; the storm will subside. 

Father God, we rejoice in your word, your promises today. We just come before you and give you each and every issue that is before us. We pray that your word and your Holy Spirit would encourage us. We stand in your word and claim that ‘where the spirit of The Lord is there is freedom.’ In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen!!
